Apparently I'm not very good at blogging, maybe I'll get better when the baby is born (HA!). So we had Thanksgiving at my parents house this year. Had a great dinner and loved being around family. I went Black Friday shopping with my mom, definitely a waste of a good nights sleep. We went to walmart at 3 am, and guess what??? They were already sold out of half of their sale items. I went looking for one movie specifically and they didn't have even one copy of it. Mom wanted sheets and they were all sold out. Jennifer wanted us to get a game for her to give for Christmas and we found the last one. It was the dumbest thing. Walmart really dropped the ball this year. Anyway so we went to JC Penney's at 4. We got some good deals but, not really worth getting up at 2 to shop. Oh well.
I am now 30 weeks along. YAY!! I can hardly believe it. I feel huge, but according to my sisters I am not really that big. She kicks all the time now. I think she has come to recognize Scott too, which is awesome! Every time he is holding me or has his hand on my belly she will start to move around. She doesn't do that for everybody. Heck she does that for almost nobody. It is so exciting to think that she is recognizing her daddy. My belly button has almost popped out. Scott and I had a bet going about when it was going to pop. I thought it would be by Christmas, Scott thought it would be by my birthday on January 5th. Well it hasn't quite popped yet so I guess I was wrong. We will just have to see if Scott was right.
We spend Christmas in Logan with Scott's brother Gary and his family. We had a big party on Christmas eve with all of Scott's siblings and their families except 2 of his brothers who live too far away. We had a blast. They have a tradition called the "bean game" basically it is an auction for a bunch of wrapped gifts. You get a certain number of beans and those are your currency. Then a clue is read for each present and you bid. It is a ton of fun. I was a little skeptical last year when Scott told me about it but, it is an absolute blast. Then we watched a short nativity video and everybody went home. Except us, because we are the only ones without kids to get to bed. So we stayed with Gary and his family and had Christmas morning with them. Unfortunatelly for me I developed a really bad cold sometime on Christmas eve. I was coughing and sniffing all day. Then I didn't sleep at all that night. Needless to say I was the earliest person up on Christmas morning. Scott finally woke up at about 7:45 am and we went to find breakfast. At about 8:30 am Gary and Kari's youngest, Emily, woke up and we started the Christmas morning routine. Despite being sick I had a very good Christmas. I got lots of great gifts that I love. Later on Christmas day we traveled to Grace to spend some time with Scott's parents, and apparently Scott's friends. We went to church with Scott's parents on Sunday then headed back to Pocatello that night just in time for game night with my sister and her husband.
It has been a busy holiday season and it isn't over yet. Scott and my anneversary is later on this week, on the 30th. So we are traveling to Salt Lake City to go to the temple and have some good dinner. I can't wait. It has been a really great year. I love my husband so much, and I can't wait to celebrate the first year of our marriage.
